The crankshaft is the main rotating part of the engine. After the connecting rod is installed, it can undertake the up and down (reciprocating) motion of the connecting rod and become a circular (rotating) motion.
It is an important part of the engine. Its material is made of carbon structural steel or nodular cast iron. There are two important parts: main journal, connecting rod journal (and others). The main journal is installed on the cylinder block, the connecting rod journal is connected with the large head hole of the connecting rod, and the small head hole of the connecting rod is connected with the cylinder piston. It is a typical crank slider mechanism.
The lubrication of crankshaft mainly refers to the lubrication of connecting rod big end bearing bush and crankshaft connecting rod journal and the lubrication of fixed points at both ends. The rotation of crankshaft is not only the power source of engine, but also the power source of the whole mechanical system.
